From a young age Dr. Spann knew that he wanted to be a dentist. He started his journey by obtaining his B.S. in Biology from East Carolina University. Soon afterward he attended Meharry Medical College in Nashville, TN where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. While in dental school his passion for pediatric dentistry grew which motivated him to become a pediatric dentist. As a result, he continued his dental education and completed his residency training at Howard University in Washington, DC where he received extensive training in providing high quality care to children. He is highly dedicated to making every dental visit a positive and wonderful experience for the children and their families. Dr. Spann believes that oral health is essential to total health and that all children deserve quality dental care delivered with compassion and warmth.

Outside the Practice: In his spare time Dr. Spann enjoys staying active, working out, watching sports and spending time with his wife.
